Celebrating fathers come in many forms, but this year, I had the opportunity to experience something truly special, Ogie Alcasid Father’s Day concert at the Proscenium Theater in Makati.

The evening started with our team arriving early for dinner before heading to the venue. Families, couples, and fathers filled the theater, all looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day through music. Consequently, the anticipation created an atmosphere of joy and connection.
When Ogie Alcasid Took the Stage
The moment Ogie Alcasid appeared; the entire theater erupted with cheers. Audience members shouted his name and welcomed him with enthusiastic applause. From the very beginning, his humor, storytelling, and natural connection with the crowd made it feel less like a formal concert and more like a gathering among friends.
The concept of Daddyokie was simple yet brilliant, a combination of “Daddy” and “Karaoke.” More than just a concert, it was a live sing-along experience that encouraged everyone to participate, reminisce, and celebrate fatherhood through music. This unique format made the Ogie Alcasid Father’s Day concert stand out as both entertaining and meaningful.
A Night Filled with Timeless Music
Throughout the evening, Ogie performed classic hits and crowd favorites that had everyone singing along. The carefully selected setlist brought back memories and created nostalgia among the audience.

Special guest performances from Karylle, Lani Misalucha, Nate Alcasid, and Regine Velasquez added variety and excitement. Each guest contributed something unique, making the concert even more memorable.
Highlights of the night included:
- Nostalgic sing-along moments with timeless hits.
- Guest performances that elevated the energy.
- Audience participation that strengthened the sense of community.

My Favorite Part: The Dads Segment
Specifically, the most touching part was the Dads Segment. Ogie invited fathers from the audience to request songs, many of whom shared stories about receiving tickets as gifts from their families.
Listening to these stories while watching Ogie perform their chosen songs created heartfelt moments. It perfectly captured the spirit of Father’s Day by honoring fathers and recognizing the love they receive from their families.
More Than Just a Concert
What stood out most about Daddyokie was how intimate the experience felt. Even though it was held in a theater, it never felt distant. The audience was fully engaged, singing along, laughing at Ogie’s jokes, and enjoying every moment.
Furthermore, the enthusiasm carried over to the second night, proving the success of the Ogie Alcasid Father’s Day concert.
A Grateful and Rewarding Experience
Beyond the music, I am grateful to John Clements Consultants, Inc. for the opportunity to attend. The event reminded me of the value of creating memorable experiences that bring people together.
