On September 24, 2025, we attended the 709th General Membership Meeting of the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) at Dusit Thani Manila. The theme, “Making EVP Real: From Brand to Employee Experience,” couldn’t be more timely. As HR professionals, we understand the importance of aligning promises with lived experiences—ensuring that what we say is truly what our people feel every day.
Defining EVP: More Than a Statement
To kick things off, the panel unpacked what Employee Value Proposition (EVP) really means. At its core, EVP is the unique blend of benefits, rewards, culture, and values that an organization offers in exchange for the talent, skills, and commitment of its employees. It answers the question: “Why work here—and why stay?”
Four Organizations, Four Approaches
The panel featured leaders from G-Cash, Alsons Power Group, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Philippines, and IBM Consulting. Each one shared how their organization brings EVP to life—not just through branding, but through real, everyday experiences.
G-Cash: Purpose at the Center
G-Cash’s EVP is deeply rooted in purpose. Their mission to improve the lives of Filipinos, especially the underserved, goes beyond corporate goals—it’s something employees feel daily. A hybrid work setup and relaxed culture support this mission, but what truly stands out is how their people find meaning in their work. Purpose-driven roles can be emotionally demanding, and G-Cash acknowledges this. They’re now exploring ways to sustain energy while continuing to serve the nation in even more impactful ways.
Alsons Power Group: Community-Focused Growth
Alsons Power Group lives by the mantra “We POWER with CARE.” Their EVP emphasizes community, education, and environmental stewardship. Internally, they’ve built a culture that inspires and empowers. Employees value the focus on career growth and the recent revamp of their rewards system. One challenge they’re addressing is the consistency of their community messaging. Looking ahead, they plan to launch Early Childhood Centers in Sarangani, building on the momentum they’ve created.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Philippines: Global Vision, Local Impact
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Philippines shared how their EVP is globally aligned yet locally felt. Their approach centers on collaboration, sustainability, and people-first leadership. What’s impressive is the consistency of their EVP across all levels—from leadership to frontline teams. Employees say they stay for the people and the open, intentional work culture. Sustainability remains a key focus, though it requires ongoing reinforcement across processes. Their next priority is succession planning and preparing future leaders.
IBM Consulting: Reinventing a Legacy
IBM Consulting offered a unique perspective as a legacy brand working to stay relevant. Their EVP focuses on making the world better—starting with their own people. Flexibility and continuous learning are central to their employee experience. IBM recognizes the challenge of rebranding a legacy image, especially when attracting talent beyond traditional tech roles. However, they remain optimistic. With the Philippines showing strong potential in tech talent, IBM is partnering with educational institutions to upskill and prepare the workforce for the future.
Key Takeaways: Authenticity, Purpose, and Evolution
Across all four organizations, several themes emerged. First, EVP must be authentic and reflected in daily experiences. Second, values like purpose, care, sustainability, and trust are becoming central to how companies define their worth to employees. Third, while challenges are inevitable, what matters most is how organizations respond and evolve.
Final Reflections
This GMM served as a powerful reminder: EVP isn’t just about attracting talent—it’s about keeping people inspired, engaged, and aligned with the company’s mission. Hearing how these organizations walk the talk gave us plenty to reflect on as we continue shaping our own employee experience.
