On November 19, 2022, John Clements hosted its Relaxing Spa @ Van Gogh Sales & Production Monthly Conference in the company’s office at LKG Tower. Those who chose to attend the event in person were encouraged to bring exercise clothes and towels. What awaited them at their destination was a fun morning of office yoga, meditation at work, and performance updates.
The first wellness activity of the day was an hour-long session of office yoga hosted by CEO Carol Dominguez herself. An experienced practitioner of the exercise, she helped those new to yoga understand the basics so that everyone could participate in the various stances. Calming music and delicate motions glided through the air. Carol was also kind enough to supply yoga mats to those who couldn’t bring their own.
This office yoga session came with an additional treat– John Clements hired a squad of masseuse for the occasion. At pre-scheduled times, employees were given their choice of back, shoulder, or foot massages to get them to destress after a challenging week of work.
When the office’s yoga class and massage appointments were all done, JCCI received a call from longtime associate, Executive Coach Tully Moss. Mr. Moss revealed that he was not only a business education pro but well-versed in the art of meditation as well. Tully had those in attendance take a lotus position on their mats and close their eyes to join him on a soothing yet deeply emotional inner journey over the course of a metaphysical day. In minutes, dozens of staff members travelled from sunrise to sunset before noon.
Surprisingly, meditation at work built up a healthy appetite which was sated with a healthy brunch. Fitting in with the wellness theme of the sales conference, the catering was strictly and deliciously vegetarian. There was red miso soup with tofu, hearty samosas with tamarind sauce, and a rather filling vegetable poke bowl, one for everyone.
The sales conference concluded with teams showing off their milestones and receiving appropriate awards.

Every member who could was encouraged to share their vied for purpose, which was a bit easier than it usually would have been due to the various wellness activities making their thoughts more clear and relaxed. A wonderful presentation of Filipinos working abroad in respectable institutions across Europe, including Switzerland and Germany, was also featured.
Those who came in-person to the conference left with more energy to enjoy the rest of the weekend and more inspiration to perform their jobs even better for the next conference.
