Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence

Last Friday night—and no, this isn’t a song by Katy Perry—we threw a party that’ll be etched in the glittering halls of my memory forever. The scene? The swanky Admiral Hotel. The vibe? Glamorous! The occasion? Only John Clements Consultants’ 50th Anniversary—just a casual celebration of half a century of brilliance, partnerships, and changing lives (no big deal, right?).

When our fabulous guests arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just any soirée. Oh no. This was a full-on, red-carpet, VIP, you’ve-made-it kind of night. Think Hollywood glitz but with more soul and a touch of operatic class.

Setting the Stage (Quite Literally)

Things kicked off at 5 PM, but let me tell you, the Manila Symphony Orchestra String Quartet? They brought the kind of vibe that made me wish I had a flute of champagne in one hand and a Gatsby-inspired fan in the other. But I was overseeing the registration team, so instead of champagne, I was pinning boutonnieres on our VIPs!

And then, there was soprano Rebecca Moeller, whose voice could make even the hotel’s chandeliers shed a tear of joy. She set the tone—this night was going to be magical.

At 7 PM, Ms. Carol Dominguez, our President and CEO, delivered a heartfelt welcome address that beautifully encapsulated the essence of John Clements’ legacy—transforming lives, fostering innovation, and building meaningful partnerships. Her words resonated deeply, bridging the company’s illustrious past with its exciting future.

Dinner, Music, and Unforgettable Moments

The awards ceremony was a feast for the senses! Guests savored a sumptuous dinner at the Admiral Club, where culinary artistry set the tone for an unforgettable evening. As the clock struck 8 PM, the legendary Ogie Alcasid took center stage, igniting the room with his soulful voice and boundless energy. The atmosphere erupted with laughter, selfies, and spontaneous dancing, as the crowd transformed into a joyous singalong chorus. It was a night of pure celebration, where every moment brimmed with excitement and connection!

A Tribute and a Toast

At 9 PM, the night reached its crescendo with a breathtaking fireworks display at Coconut Grove. It was a symbolic nod to 50 years of brilliance, lighting up the sky as brightly as the achievements we celebrated that evening.

For many, however, the night didn’t end there. Ruby Wong’s Go Down Bar hosted a lively open mic session, where colleagues and guests kept the celebration alive until the early hours.

Amid the joy, I had a heartfelt reflection about Cyril, our late Marketing Head, who had been an integral part of the event planning. And so, I decided to dedicate one of the stars that night to him. I know he would have been proud to see how grand the event turned out to be.

50 Years and Counting

The evening wasn’t just a celebration; it was a testament to everything John Clements Consultants stands for. From the red carpet welcome to the joyful camaraderie, every moment felt special. Radiant smiles and joyous laughter filled the evening, as guests reveled in the celebration, enjoying every thoughtful detail and warm gesture that made the night unforgettable.
