The World Said, “Be Invisible,” but She Heard, “Be Invincible”

On January 16, 2025, I had the honor of attending the Filipina CEO Circle (FCC) event at the Manila Golf and Country Club, surrounded by an inspiring group of women leaders. It was a truly memorable day that showcased both the strength and camaraderie of this remarkable community.

A Warm Welcome

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with thoughtfully curated shopping bags and had a delightful time “shopping for treats” from generous sponsors such as Aboitiz, Yves Rocher, Accra Law, The Manila Times, PLDT/Smart, Eslite, NUSKIN, Green Foods, Ready Set Glow (RSG), Gardenia, and many others. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for the rest of the event, which was filled with excitement and gratitude.

Esteemed Hosts and Event Kickoff

The event was hosted by a distinguished group of leaders, including Marife Zamora, Carol Dominguez, Beth Ventura, Blanca Mercado, Cosette Canilao, Esther Santos, Susan Afan, and Trina Prodigalidad. Their leadership and grace ensured a smooth and engaging program.

The meeting began with updates from the FCC Secretariat and Board, led by Karen Roa. She provided attendees with the latest news and developments within the organization. After that, Susan Afan introduced the keynote session, “The Art of Passing the Message – Impact Speaking,” setting the stage for an inspiring learning experience.

Insights on Impactful Communication

The highlight of the day was the keynote speaker, Michael Cannon. He is an expert in leadership, team management, and executive presence. With over 30 years of global training experience, he has been recognized as one of the best trainers in the world. In 2008, he won the title of Best Trainer among 600 facilitators from over 100 countries. His session on impactful communication was both thought-provoking and practical, offering valuable tools for effective leadership.

An Evening of Celebration and Connection

After the enlightening session, we enjoyed a delicious Chinese buffet dinner. Later, we celebrated the January birthday celebrants with a heartwarming cake-blowing ceremony. It was a lovely way to bring the group together and share in the joy of the occasion.

The evening concluded with an exciting raffle, where attendees had the chance to win fantastic prizes. Generous sponsors such as Admiral Hotel, Azuthal, Dusit Hotels & Resorts, John Clements Leadership Institute, Mantra Indian Kitchen & Bar, Novellino, Seda, Shangri-La, Esquire Gold Management, Zenger Folkman, Diane Ngo, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, and many more made this possible. The raffle was a highlight, with laughter and cheers as winners were announced.

A Night to Remember

Overall, the evening was filled with inspiration, connection, and celebration. It provided an excellent opportunity for learning, networking, and enjoying the company of like-minded women making a significant impact in their respective fields. Every participant left feeling energized and uplifted.
