John Clements Consultants Inc. recently concluded a comprehensive Disaster Preparedness Training aimed at equipping its staff with essential skills and knowledge to effectively respond to emergencies. The training, held on March 15, March 22, and April 5, 2024, at the Van Gogh Room, was well-received and attended by employees eager to enhance their preparedness.
The training sessions were led by a team of experts including Mr. Bryan Del Ponso, Mr. Louie Caasi, and Ms. Louise Amando, who provided valuable insights and practical guidance throughout the program.
Day 1 of the training began with an insightful session by Ms. Joanna Tolentino, the Operations Manager of the building, who provided valuable insights into the building’s own preparedness measures. Her expertise shed light on the importance of understanding the building’s emergency procedures and how to navigate them efficiently during a crisis.
Following Ms. Tolentino’s session, Mr. Del Ponso, Mr. Caasi, and Ms. Amando took over the training, leading interactive sessions focusing on various aspects of disaster preparedness. These sessions included practical demonstrations and group discussions to ensure that participants were not only knowledgeable but also confident in their ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
In addition to the training, participants who attended also received disaster tools, such as an emergency blanket, whistle, and flashlight. These tools are essential for survival and can be used during emergencies to signal for help, provide warmth, and navigate dark or confined spaces.
Throughout the training, participants learned about risk assessment, emergency response planning, evacuation procedures, and first aid techniques. They also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of communication, coordination, and leadership during emergencies.
The training concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing their appreciation for the valuable insights and skills they had acquired.
