On March 18, 2023, EDI-Staffbuilders International hosted the JCCI-EDI Monthly Conference for the month of February with literally a “bang!” by providing all participants with the sights, sounds, feel, and vibe of the incredible country, India!
Aaj aap sab ka yahan swagat hai (You are all welcome here today)!
AMAZING INDIA
With the JC Hub transformed into our version of Diwali, attendees wore Indian attire and clothes to exude the vibe. Much more, from the invocation to the opening remarks, it was all about amazing India! Do you know that:
- India has the third-highest number of billionaires in the world – behind the USA and China. In total, India claims to have nearly 7,000 ultra-high net-worth individuals, with assets of over USD30 million, and roughly 140 billionaires across the country.
- Only about 40% of the population is vegetarian and 60% do eat fish and chicken.
- Cows are sacred in India because they believe that each cow contains 330 millions of gods and goddesses. Its horns represent the ancient Hindu scriptures or the “Vedas”, and its udder or mammary glands represent life, wealth, salvation, and desire.
SHARING OF LEARNINGS
Some of John Clements Consultants’ top executives and senior leaders attended the 2023 Technology and Leadership Forum hosted by the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), an Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group, focused mainly on the technology industry of India, which led to the idea of making the theme for the JCCI-EDI Monthly Conference to be about India. Attendees to the NASSCOM Forum shared their experiences and learning from the sessions they attended during the two-day conference in Mumbai.
AN HOUR OF ENTERTAINMENT
Top performers and achievers were recognized, but to make the event even more vibrant and fun, we invited an Indian DJ and musician who played the Tabla, the most famous percussion instrument of North India. It is most commonly used in North Indian classical music, but for our event, JCHub transformed into a day concert! And for a holistic experience, masala dosa, samosa, and chai were served to satisfy the senses.
