Look no further than PROJECT SPARK: Igniting the NextGen Leadership Wave. We’ll take you through the details of this contest, where young leaders like you can step up and create positive change. 

Contest Details 

Contest Title: PROJECT SPARK

Contest Duration: September 6 to October 13

Objective: 

The core objective of PROJECT SPARK is simple yet profound: to spark inspiration within our community for those who aspire to become future leaders. We believe in the power of youth leadership and its ability to create a social impact through projects and programs. 

 

Eligibility 

Who Can Participate: This contest is open to dynamic teams of 2 or more individuals, aged 16-23. 

Social Media Requirements: Participants should have public Instagram and Facebook accounts to join the conversation.

Event Attendance: To be eligible for participation, all team members must be registered attendees of Y4LS 2023. Attendance is required especially if your entry is shortlisted. Make sure to sign up here

 

How to Participate 

Part 1: Project Proposal 

At the beginning of this exciting journey, each team will submit a comprehensive project proposal that includes: 

  • Project Goals: What do you aim to achieve with your project? 
  • Target Community: Who will benefit from your efforts? 
  • Project Timeline: Share your project milestones and timeline. 

 Deadline for Submission of Entry: September 20

Part 2: Project Implementation and Video Presentation 

  • Shortlisted Teams will embark on a 3-week journey of project execution, where creativity and leadership will be put to the test. During this time:
  • Progress Updates: Keep us in the loop with periodic progress updates – photos, videos, or written reports to showcase your project’s growth. Post on your social media and tag the Y4LS Facebook page.  
  • Project Presentation: At the end of the contest period (October 6), each team will prepare a captivating video presentation summarizing their project’s impact, challenges faced, and lessons learned.
  • Share your project updates on your social pages (Facebook and Instagram) and don’t forget to tag Y4LS and John Clements Consultants, Inc.  

 

🎥 Video Presentation Guidelines: 🎥 

  1. Maximum length: 3 minutes.   
  2. Incorporate the contest theme: “Inspire, Empower, Lead” into your video.   
  3. Include relevant hashtags: #Y4LS2023 #Y4LSReelsContest, #InspireEmpowerLead, #ProjectSpark, and #YouthLeaders  
  4. Tag and mention Youth for Leadership Summit in your video caption. 
  5. Share the video on your Facebook and Instagram feed, ensuring your account is public during the contest period. 
  6. Video submissions should reach the Y4LS Project Committee (professionalstaffers@johnclements.com) no later than 5 p.m. on October 10. Entries received after the designated deadline will be subject to automatic disqualification.
