“Golf is a sport of discipline, patience, and character—but it is also a sport where people bring their own personality to the course.” — Carol Dominguez, President and CEO, John Clements Consultants
This spirit of self-expression set the tone for the 9th John Clements CEO Golf Classic, where golf and style came together under the theme “Fairways and Fashion.” The event took place at the Manila Golf and Country Club on September 4, 2026, and brought together golf enthusiasts, business leaders, and industry partners in support of Friends of PGH.
A special presentation by Malbon Philippines also showcased the growing connection between sport, fashion, and individuality. Despite rain and cloudy skies, participants embraced the day with enthusiasm, and camaraderie, meaningful connections, and a shared passion for the game defined the event.
Setting the Tone for a Day on the Green
The tournament officially opened with welcome remarks from Carol Dominguez, who spoke about the growing connection between sports, style, and personal identity. She highlighted how athletes such as Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, and Filipino tennis star Alex Eala have used fashion as a powerful form of self-expression. She also thanked guests and participants for their continued support.

Following her remarks, Tournament Director Carlo Lao briefed the players on the conditions of play, outlining the tournament rules and key guidelines for the day. Carol Dominguez then led the ceremonial tee-off, together with Francis Ngo, President of Malbon Philippines, and Emmanuel Te, COO of Mactel Corporation.
Afterward, players gathered for a group photo before heading to their assigned holes. The fairways then came alive with friendly competition and impressive shot-making, as players chased birdies, navigated challenging approaches, and battled through every hole with determination and focus. As the last putts dropped into the cup, participants made their way to the clubhouse, closing out a memorable day of golf, networking, and sportsmanship.
When the Fairway Became a Runway
The spotlight then turned to the runway for a standout feature of this year’s CEO Golf Classic: an exclusive show by Malbon Philippines. The collection brought together sport and style, showcasing the brand’s modern take on golf wear.
In keeping with the “Fairways and Fashion” theme, Ryan Gabinete and Tiffany Copok took home this year’s Best Dressed awards.
