In October 2025, I traveled across three key European cities—Vienna, Rome, and Madrid—to deepen partnerships and explore new opportunities in overseas recruitment. Europe remains a vital region for healthcare, infrastructure, and skilled labor demand. My mission was clear: strengthen ties, understand evolving needs, and ensure Filipino talent continues to thrive abroad.
Vienna: Healthcare Collaboration and Strategic Talks
Austria’s capital welcomed us with warmth and purpose. From October 7 to 9, I met with hospital executives, rehab center directors, and city officials. Our discussions focused on expanding recruitment pipelines for nurses and allied health professionals.
I met with the Vienna Regional Parliament, and the Social Affairs, Public Health, and Sports. These conversations opened doors to city-level collaboration on urban wellness initiatives.

Rome: Faith, Culture, and Filipino Global Identity
From October 10 to 14, I joined thousands of Filipinos in Rome for the Jubilee Year 2025 celebration themed Pilgrims of Hope. This wasn’t just a spiritual gathering, it was a showcase of Filipino resilience, unity, and global presence.

At the Jubilee Conference, I spoke alongside leaders and discussed the role of Filipino professionals in global development and the importance of ethical recruitment.
The Serbisyo Caravan on October 12 was a standout moment. Government agencies including DMW, OWWA, and PhilHealth offered services to OFWs in Rome. Seeing thousands of Filipinos access support abroad reminded me why overseas recruitment must always be people-centered.
Madrid: Infrastructure, Innovation, and Skilled Labor Demand
Spain was our final stop, from October 15 to 17. Here, the focus shifted to infrastructure and industrial recruitment. I met with executives from companies leading major projects in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

A global leader in sustainable infrastructure, shared updates on their expansion and workforce needs. They discussed their upcoming projects for the middle east, a massive opportunity for skilled Filipino workers.
Beyond Borders: Be Part of the Next Chapter
This trip reinforced a key truth: overseas recruitment is more than filling jobs, it’s about building futures. Every meeting, every handshake, and every shared meal reminded me of the trust placed in Filipino talent.
