Empowered Women, Empowering Generations: The Filipina CEO Circle Women’s Run PH 2025

Happy International Women’s Month!

As the city of Manila slept, a wave of determination and camaraderie surged through the Mall of Asia Complex as 8,000 runners, walkers, and supporters gathered for the second Filipina CEO Circle (FCC) Women’s Run PH 2025. This year’s event was not just about speed or endurance—it was a celebration of women’s strength across generations.

At the heart of this celebration was my 91-year-old mother, Lil Dominguez, who, along with my niece Andrea, sister Vera, nephew Lorenzo, and eight staff members, embraced the early 3 AM wake-up call to participate. By 5 AM, the energy was electric as we joined thousands of like-minded individuals, ready to take on the challenge in the name of empowerment.

A Family Affair, A Community United

While most of our group completed the 5K, my mother, two of our staff, and I opted for a 1K walk—a symbolic stride proving that movement, no matter the pace, is a testament to resilience. Watching my mother take part in this event at 91 was a profound reminder that age should never limit one’s participation in life’s adventures.

Beyond the race, the event featured a breathtaking performance by Janice Gutenberg and her team, a spectacle that left many in awe. Their aerial and acrobatic display was a fitting representation of the grace, strength, and perseverance that women embody.

Gratitude for an Unforgettable Morning

A massive congratulations and heartfelt thanks to:

  • FCC President Karen Roa for her exceptional leadership.
  • Board Member Ambe Tierro, Secretariat Nicole, and the dedicated organizers who worked tirelessly to make this event happen.
  • The sponsors who continue to champion women’s initiatives.
  • The winners, including Riza Mantaring, Aleli Arcilla, and Karen Roa, whose determination was inspiring.
  • And, of course, the 8,000 participants—whether they ran, walked, or simply enjoyed the morning filled with energy and laughter.

A Run That’s More Than a Race

This event was not just about physical endurance—it was about building a supportive network, celebrating milestones, and proving that empowerment transcends generations. From the inspiring women leading the way to those, like my mother, showing that strength has no age limit, the Filipina CEO Circle Women’s Run PH 2025 was a resounding success. Here’s to more steps, more connections, and more moments of shared strength in the years to come. Until next time, let’s keep running—together!
